hampton way?

After careful consideration i think the alderperson is right on this. I mean if this is the best example of African American leadership that she can think of, then the street should bear his name, why not? Also up for consideration should be a playground named for John Wayne Gacy .I mean after all he was a communtiy leader always giving back with his annual parties and willing to be a clown at any childs birthday party. The minor technicality that he molested and killed people obviously shouldn't over shadow his accomplishments. how about an Al Capone food court somewhere, I mean, after all he was a civic leader, he was always generous to the little people, he definitely loved dining out, and internationally he is a big tourist draw for the city. He is even better known in Europe than our beloved King Richards I &II. For this alone he should get naming rights. Of course why stop there maybe a school or library named for a dope peddler or a plaza to a corrupt politician?Oops we have those already.Or, in one of these eyesore yuppie developments going in we could name all the streets after infamous criminals and corrupt pols, who through revisionist history are now heroes and leaders, of course the dead end streets would have to be named after those pesky reformers that occasionally reared their ugly heads in our history. On second thought the alderperson is wrong Jeff Fort did much more for the comunity and provided much more leadership than Fred Hampton did if only becuase he lived longer ,we had better go with him as a comunity leader to be immortalized,
